As we have access to custom servers, we will be running unofficial tournaments throughout the day.
We will be using a points system to determine the winner of each tournament.
Yes, as this is a BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer) LAN party, you need to bring your own equipment. For most people, this would include a PC, monitor, peripherals and cables. For console players, this might include a console, monitor, controllers and cables.
LAN-slide will have Wi-Fi available, but we cannot guarantee it will be reliable; we strongly recommend using a wired (ethernet) connection. On some laptops and the Nintendo Switch you may need a converter to allow you to plug in an ethernet cable.
You are provided table space (90cm), a network cable and 2 power sockets. We recommend on all devices you use the provided network cable. You may need a converter on some devices to ensure you can plug in the provided network cable.
The wireless can become quite congested, so we recommend against trying to use the wireless hotspot.
It costs $30 for the entire event. This includes access to all the 20+ tournaments, not just Fortnite.
We believe so. As long as you can join custom games on your device, you should be able to enter the tournament. At this stage we have tested the Nintendo Switch and the android app and both seem to have the ability to join custom games.
No, to enter all the tournaments at LAN-slide you must be present at the event. To be fair to the people that attend in person, we can't allow people joining online.
