NB: Rules listed in this section are in addition to the Standard Tournament Rules.

LOBBY DETAILS AND MAP SETTINGS

  1. The match settings are as follows:

    1. Server – Oceanic

    2. Map – DFH Stadium

    3. Match Type – Private match

    4. Joinable By – Name/Password

    5. Server Name / Password – “LS{tournament match letter}” (e.g. “LSB”) / “lanslide"

    6. Each tournament match in Challonge will be played as a Best of Three (3).

  2. The team captain of the top team according to the bracket will be the host and configure settings per point 1 in this document. The team captain will then alert the Mission Control of the game name to relay to other teams.

  3. All other players will join the game by using “Play online” > “Join Private Match” using details provided per section point 2.

  4. When all players are in the private match lobby, teams may be assigned – Top Team = Orange, Bottom Team = Blue per the generated bracket.

    1. If not all team players are in the lobby before selecting the team colour, Rocket League will start a round after a short timeout period causing an invalid game.

    2. To help avoid (a), it is advised that the Team Captain create a “Party” and invite team players. In this situation, only the Team Captain has to join per section 17.3 for all other players in that party to join. Players that disconnect also have the ability to re-join through Steam.

  5. A match is considered live when:-

    1. All players for all teams have joined the game lobby.

    2. All players have chosen the correct side.

    3. Either 10 seconds has elapsed - or - a score has been registered without any message(s) posted.

  6. Restarts may only happen when there is a player disconnection or server issue within the first 30 seconds and where no scoring goals have been made.

  7. Where multiple people over multiple games disconnect due to internet connectivity issues, the game will restart with the clock counted down from the score immediately where the disconnect took place.

About Rocket League

Rocket League is a physics-based vehicle soccer video game developed and published by Psyonix, released for PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows on July 7, 2015, with ports for OS X and Linux also in development. It is a sequel to 2008's Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars. The game features gameplay that is very similar to Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars‍ 's, and also includes single-player and multiplayer modes which can be played both locally and online, including cross-platform play between the PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows versions.

LAN-slide v13.0 was our first event where Rocket League was run with 6 teams competing for Intel SSD's. With such a great turnout, it will be returning for future events.
